276. Deputy Jonathan O'Brien asked the Minister for Education and Skills the funding that will be allocated for the development and establishment of apprenticeships in new occupational areas in 2015 and in 2016. [30756/14]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe call for proposals for the development and establishment of apprenticeships in new occupational areas will be made by the Apprenticeship Council and will be supported by a dedicated fund. The level of funding will be determined through the budgetary process. The Apprenticeship Council will identify if the proposals received have the potential to be developed into viable and sustainable apprenticeships and this will also inform the amount of funding ultimately made available.
