Amharc ar fhreagraThe Good Friday Agreement, whose values continue to be central to the Government’s approach to Northern Ireland, enshrines the principle of self-determination for the people of this island and makes provisions for circumstances in which this right can be exercised. To date, these provisions have not been activated. The Government’s priority at this time is ensuring that outstanding elements of the Good Friday Agreement, such as the provision of a Bill of Rights, Civic Forum and Irish Language Act, are fully implemented and that its political institutions not only function, but flourish.
