Deputy Jonathan O'Brien asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of consultants contracted to undertake work for Caranua; the names and details of these consultants; if she appointed any consultants to Caranua and their details; the value of their contracts; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraPursuant to section 7(7) of the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Act, 2012 Caranua may, with my approval, enter into contracts or engage consultants or advisers.
While I have not appointed any consultants to Caranua, my Department has been liaising with Caranua in relation to its contractual arrangements and its engagement of consultants and is currently considering the approval of a number of consultancies and contracts pursuant to section 7(7). I understand that it is hoped to finalise the matter shortly. I will arrange to have the relevant details forwarded to the Deputy once finalised.
