533. Deputy Stephen S. Donnelly asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government when his Department expects to be in a position to properly implement the EU environmental impact assessment Directive No. 85/337/EEC, as amended; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that his Department made a commitment to resolve this matter by May 2013; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is currently finalising draft regulations to give further and better effect to the transposition of the Environmental Impact Assessment Directive in Irish law. I hope to sign the regulations into law in the near future.
