Connaughton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection when arrears relating to a domiciliary care allowance and respite grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Galway as the appeal to the appeals office was deemed successful; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned was notified on the 30th September 2014 that her domiciliary care allowance (DCA) appeal was successful. DCA is paid monthly. Payment of the allowance, along with arrears due, will be available in the customer’s nominated bank account on 21 October 2014 and on the third Tuesday of each month thereafter. Following the award of DCA payment of Respite Care grant for 2013 and 2014 will also be paid into her nominated account in the coming weeks.
