Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the position on the action his Department is taking to ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be paid for cattle sold to a cattle dealer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI am aware that a difficulty has arisen between two parties with regard to the sale of animals from one party to the other.
I should point out however that my Department has no role in, what is in effect, a private commercial transaction. Notwithstanding this, I am advised that, in recent days, the parties themselves have reached agreement in respect of their dispute.
