Amharc ar fhreagraIn accordance with the provisions of the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act, 1998, responsibility for the planning and implementation of Traveller accommodation proposals is a matter for the relevant housing authority, in this case, Cork City Council.
My Department issued approval in principle to the City Council in November 2013 in respect of electrical works to the site in question and it is now a matter for the Council to advance the planning of these works.
