Ceisteanna (201)

Seán Kyne

Ceist:

201. Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if each Department has provided Government with benefit driven external service delivery plans; if he will provide a list of the major offices other than Government Departments which have also submitted such plans; and if he would indicate the desired outcomes arising from the implementation of the plans. I can confirm that external service delivery plans have been received from all Government Departments. Furthermore, benefits-driven external service delivery plans have also been received from:

1. The Office of Public Works,

2. The Office of the Revenue Commissioners, and;

3. The Houses of the Oireachtas Commission.

The desired outcomes arising from the implementation of these external service delivery plans include greater cost and efficiency savings, the potential to innovate in the provision of business practices, access to specialised expertise from external providers; and a greater focus by public officials on their organisations' core activities.
