There are a number of European Regulations in force covering flight time limitations for pilots. The main Regulations concerned are Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91, Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012 and Commission Regulation (EU) No. 83/2014 which entered into force on 18 February 2014 and which will apply from 18th February 2016.

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has statutory responsibility for regulating aviation safety in the State including ensuring airlines are complying with EU Regulations on flight time limitations. I have forwarded your request to the IAA for direct reply.

If you do not receive a response from the IAA within ten working days, please contact my private office.
