632. Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will provide, in tabular form, the allocation from her Department to the Heritage Council from 2008 to 2015; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [49361/14]

These amounts included allocations both from my Department’s Vote and from the Environment Fund, including a number of grants for specific purposes. My Department’s voted allocation to the Heritage Council in 2015 is subject to final confirmation in the Revised Estimates due to be published shortly. A further allocation will also be made from the Environment Fund early in the New Year. €1,420,000 was provided to the Council from the Environment Fund in 2014, €1,050,000 of which was a general allocation.
My Department will continue to provide funding for the protection, conservation and development of our built and natural heritage, in so far as resources allow.
