472. Deputy Michael Moynihan asked the Minister for Education and Skills the progress to date in the proposed amalgamation of the national schools in Kanturk, County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3723/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe delivery of a new 16 classroom school to facilitate this amalgamation has been devolved to the Office of Public Works and is at an early stage of architectural planning. A Stage 2a submission from the OPW is currently with my Department for review. Once the review is complete, subject to no issues arising, the project will progress to Stage 2b which includes applications for Planning Permission, Fire Safety Certification, Disability Access Certification and the preparation of tender documents.
