Amharc ar fhreagraMotor tax rates for commercial vehicles are based on the unladen weight of the vehicle, and are set at national, rather than at county level. The weight bandings and the current corresponding rates are provided for in paragraph 5 of Part I of the Schedule to the Finance (Excise Duties) (Vehicles) Act 1952 (as amended by section 4 of the Motor Vehicles (Duties and Licences) Act 2013).
