Deputy Martin Heydon asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government his plans to expand the provision of postal voting for citizens who find themselves out of the country, at the time of a vote, to allow them to register their vote, by means of post, so they do not lose out on their right to vote, as a result of a holiday, business, or family trip; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
