122. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the contracts a person's businesses and / or subsidiaries (details supplied) have with his Department; the value of these contracts; their length; and the other companies who entered the tendering process that resulted in this person's companies winning the contract. I must inform the Deputy that the Department of Children and Youth Affairs does not maintain a list which details the ownership of companies with which it has contracts. However, from the information available, I am not aware that my Department has any contracts in place with the businesses or subsidiaries to which the Deputy refers.

Deputy Shane Ross asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the average age of chairpersons and non-executive directors of State or partially owned State companies, of State bodies, of semi-State bodies and of State agencies under the aegis of his Department on the State's payroll; the number of directors on the board of more than one such body; the number of women; and his plans to make savings from this area. I am responsible for appointment of members to the boards of the Adoption Authority of Ireland, the Child and Family Agency (Tusla), Gaisce and the Board of Management for the Children Detention Schools in Oberstown, Co. Dublin. My Department does not keep a record of the age of the chairpersons or ordinary members of these boards. I can inform the Deputy that none of the members serve on more than one board under the aegis of my Department. The following table sets out the number of women on each board and summarises the overall gender balance on each.
