The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) is developing a curriculum for Education about Religion and Beliefs (ERB) and Ethics for all primary schools, in line with the recommendations of the Forum on Patronage and Pluralism in the Primary sector The NCCA has developed a Consultation Paper which will form the basis of consultation with stakeholders. The consultation will involve engagement with patrons, education partners, schools, teachers and parents, beginning in the Summer term of 2015. The formats for consultation will include bi-lateral meetings, online surveys, written submissions, round table discussions and a consultation event. The NCCA aims to engage with as many stakeholders as possible to ensure balance in the development of a curriculum for ERB and Ethics.
