474. Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for Health his plans to introduce a patient safety authority as outlined in the programme for Government 2011; the form this authority will take; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14018/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe establishment of a Patient Safety Agency is being reviewed in the context of the strategic reform of the health services and the measures that are being taken to strengthen patient safety, including advocacy and related services, within the Health Service Executive. This review will enable me to decide on a course of action that will be in the best interest of patients.
