388. Deputy Jonathan O'Brien asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an evaluation of the literacy and numeracy strategy has been carried out; and the results of same. [16668/15]

A review of the National Literacy and Numeracy Strategy 2011 - 2020 will be carried out in 2015 instead of 2016, when the mid-term review was originally scheduled. Officials in my Department are currently working on scoping the extent of that review.
