163. Deputy Anthony Lawlor asked the Minister for Health following the internal Health Service Executive investigation of an independent midwife (details supplied), if further investigations of this midwife are taking place; if so, if he will provide details of the investigation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to thank the Deputy for the issue raised.

The case remains ongoing and therefore I am limited in my response, however , I have been informed by the HSE that the 2 investigations remain ongoing.

There are no other investigations at this time.
