Deputy Martin Heydon asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide an update on the status of a Garda station (details supplied) in County Kildare; if there have been any inquiries concerning or plans for its future use; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The former Garda Station in Ballytore, Athy, Co. Kildare closed in 2013. The married quarters attached to this Garda Station is currently occupied by a serving garda and the station is regarded as operational and is not available for other uses.
