Clare Daly
Ceist:1051. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government based on his previous response, and in view of the last time the Irish Veterinary Association was consulted regarding the restricting of dog breeds (Control of Dogs Act 1998 Regulations) being 23 years ago, if he will consider seeking the association's advice to ensure current restrictions are effective, up-to-date and in keeping with current scientific evidence, in protecting society from dogs which can inflict very serious injury, or cause death; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
