195. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Skills if additional financial support will be facilitated in the case of a school (details supplied) in County Kildare to link two sanctioned additional classrooms to the main school buildings, with particular reference to ongoing health and safety concerns; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe school referred to by the Deputy has been allocated funding under my Department's Additional Accommodation Scheme to provide a new two classroom stand-alone extension.
The school management authority has recently submitted a request of additional funding to link the new extension to the existing school building and this request is currently being considered and the school authority will be notified of the outcome as quickly as possible.
