Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Health his views on the fact that management at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin 9, has reconfigured the 33 bedded ward to a care of the elderly ward, and as a result the hospital has lost 34 acute surgical beds; his further views on the impact of same on patient outcomes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
