640. Deputy Patrick O'Donovan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if rural transport routes will be tendered for the coming number of months; if so, when this process will begin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24512/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for the management of the Rural Transport Programme was assigned to the National Transport Authority (NTA) with effect from 1st April 2012. This includes the tendering of rural transport services as part of the recent restructuring of the Programme.
