288. Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht the persons and bodies responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of archaeological monuments, the protection of which come within her remit under the various National Monuments Acts. [25430/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of archaeological monuments that are subject to the protections of the National Monuments Acts generally rests with the monument owners. National monuments in my ownership, as Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, are maintained by the Office of Public Works.
