Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the correspondence he has received from the National Transport Authority and-or CIE and its subsidiary companies regarding the need for additional capital or current funding for transport stock across all companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraOfficials in my Department are in regular and ongoing contact with the agencies under my remit, including the CIE Group of Companies and the National Transport Authority, in the context of the annual Estimates exercise and the development of multi annual budgets and plans for both current and capital funding. In that context, the funding requirements for rolling stock are regularly discussed and assessed.
