Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide, in tabular form, a breakdown of all third level courses and training programmes provided for employees of his Department and the accompanying cost for the 2014-2015 academic year from 1 September 2014 to the end of June 2015; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department's post-entry education scheme supports staff with their work and career aspirations and encourages a continuous organisational learning culture while developing and strengthening professional expertise and capacity. In the context of the ongoing need to update and develop new skills, the scheme recognises that supporting staff professional development is a worthwhile investment, focusing on the development and honing of knowledge and expertise as well as critical thinking, research, questioning, analytical and evaluation skills.
