Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a decision will be made on an aquaculture licence applied for on 7 February 2012 by a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the reason for the delay in making a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The application referred to by the Deputy is currently under examination by the Marine Engineering Division of my Department in respect of its technical and engineering elements. Every effort is being made by Department to expedite this application and a determination will be made as soon as possible.
