Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if legislation promised in May 2015 on mortgage arrears and the bank veto in the Personal Insolvency Act 2012 will be published before Dáil Éireann recesses for the summer; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm to the Deputy that following Government approval today I will be bringing forward the relevant amendments to the Personal Insolvency Act 2012, by way of Report Stage amendments to the Personal Insolvency (Amendment) Bill 2014, next week in the Dáil.
