371. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance if the fiscal room of €1.2-€1.5billion identified for 2016 refers to the full year effect of taxation and other measures, or the first year effect; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31654/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraIt is intended that the fiscal space of €1.2 billion to €1.5 billion outlined in the Spring Economic Statement will be split evenly between taxation and expenditure. With regard to taxation, the fiscal space relates specifically to first year effect of measures introduced in 2016. Turning to expenditure, the fiscal space will be reflected in the year-on-year increase in expenditure.
