417. Deputy Patrick O'Donovan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the numbers of supernumerary positions in her Department and in agencies, organisations or bodies funded by her Department; the maximum period in each case that supernumerary positions have existed; the total cost in maintaining supernumerary positions; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that there are currently no supernumerary positions in my Department. All bodies under the aegis of my Department have also recorded a nil return, subject to final confirmation of same from the Garda Authorities.
