747. Deputy Ciara Conway asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources when the outcome of the public consultation on Ireland's eel management plan will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [34554/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe public consultation process on Ireland's Eel Management Plan was part of the 2015 review required in compliance with Article (9) of EU Council Regulation 1100/2007 and was recently completed by Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI). I am advised by IFI that 25 submissions were received for consideration under the process and that the outcomes of the public consultation will be made available on the IFI website before the end of October.
