273. Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection the number of applications for family income supplement currently being processed, and awaiting a decision, by her Department. [38330/15]

During September 2015 there were 2,287 new applications and 3,649 renewals for Family Income Supplement processed.

As at end-September 2015 there were 3,196 new claims and 1,197 renewals pending decision.
