394. Deputy Dara Calleary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he is aware of an afforestation project (details supplied) that is due to commence in County Mayo; if he has given approval for the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37300/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application to afforest in the area identified by the Deputy was approved, subject to conditions, by my Department on 28 September 2015. Since then a number of objections have been received from third parties and a review of the decision is currently underway. As soon as this review is completed, the persons concerned and the applicant will be notified of the outcome.
