540. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the number of burglaries and thefts that were reported and detected in County Kerry in 2013 and 2014; and from 1 January 2015 to 30 June 2015; and the number of convictions that went through the courts afterwards; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware the Central Statistics Office (CSO), as the national statistical agency, is responsible for the publication of recorded crime statistics.

In relation to the matters referred to, I have requested the CSO to provide the available statistics directly to the Deputy.
