Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Skills the status of an application for funding for an extra classroom and hall at a school (details supplied) in County Carlow; if approval and funding will be provided in 2016; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has no record of receiving an application for additional accommodation from the school in question. It is open to the school to submit an application if they have identified a deficit of classroom accommodation to meet increasing enrolments or to accommodate an additional teacher appointment. Application forms can be accessed on my Department's website www.education.ie.
