310. Deputy Niall Collins asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if 183 male asylum seekers are to be accommodated in Ballybunion in County Kerry; the timeframe for this; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [43909/15]
Amharc ar fhreagraOn 31 July 2015, RIA, the Reception and Integration Agency of my Department, advertised for Expressions of Interest from persons interested in providing accommodation for persons in the protection process.
On foot of this advertisement, RIA received numerous responses including one from a premises in the Ballybunion area. For a number of reasons this premises has proven to be unsuitable and will not be utilised by RIA at this time.
