218. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an extension will be provided for a school (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1587/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraA grant was approved in March 2015 under the Additional Accommodation Scheme to enable the Board of Management of the school in question to provide three new mainstream classrooms with en-suite toilets and a WC for assisted users.
It is understood that planning permission has been received and the project is currently at pre-tender stage. An application for additional funding has been received in the Building Unit. This is currently being examined and when a decision has been made the school will be informed without delay.
