399. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kildare is unable to access critically-needed speech and language therapy services; what supports can be made available at this point; if the Health Service Executive can make contact with the person's parents with a view to providing regular speech and language therapy services to allow the person obtain educational instruction on a par with his peers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy's question relates to service matters, I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for direct reply to the Deputy. If the Deputy has not received a reply from the HSE within 15 working days, he can contact my Private Office and they will follow the matter up with the HSE.
