216. Deputy Jack Chambers asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform his plans to roll out a new early retirement package for those in the public sector who are over 50 years of age; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6223/16]

My direct responsibilities in relation to numbers employed and their terms and conditions relate to the Civil Service.  I have no plans to introduce a general early retirement package across the public service for those who are over 50 years of age.
