399. Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Justice and Equality to commit to a second meeting of the save our local community group (details supplied) to follow an initial meeting which took place on 1 December 2015; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6282/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraI can inform the Deputy that my Office has received correspondence for the group referred to. As the Deputy will be aware I met with the group previously and I am very much aware of the concerns which they have expressed. Many of the issues which they raised are being addressed through a variety of actions, including the concerted drive against crime which is being conducted by An Garda Síochána under Operation Thor. I can assure the Deputy that my Office will respond directly to the group in relation to their latest correspondence.
