3. Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection when she will make a decision on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon under the carer's allowance scheme; the reason for the delay; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [6287/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraI confirm that the department received an application for carer’s allowance (CA) from the person concerned on 1 December 2015. Additional information in relation to the person’s application which is necessary in order to determine eligibility has been requested by a deciding officer (DO) on 5 April 2016. Once the information is received the application will be re-examined by a DO and the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.
