14. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection if and when she will issue rent support to a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8766/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe client concerned made application for Rent Supplement in December 2015 and was found to be ineligible. As the client is living in an area designated for the Housing Assistance Payment (HAP), he was advised at that time, to make application to Kildare County Council. Kildare County Council has confirmed to us that the client made a HAP application to them at the end of March 2016 and that they will issue a decision in due course.
