78. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the cost and benefit of the equalisation of road tax, North and South. [15119/16]

The costs and benefits of equalising motor tax rates with the rates that apply in Northern Ireland have not been analysed in my Department.

There are currently no proposals for any such alignment.
