Deputy Lisa Chambers asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the number of applications to join the Reserve Defence Force; the number who completed the fitness test; the number of those who passed the fitness test; the number who completed the interview; the number who applied for Garda clearance; the number who received Garda clearance and within what timeframe they received it; the number who went on to complete medicals; the number who eventually enlisted and when they enlisted, by brigade and gender, in each of the years from 2014 to 31 May 2016 in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
