267. Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of rural and urban post offices closed in each of the years 2008 to 2016 to date; the number of closures pending; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16648/16]
Amharc ar fhreagraMatters relating to the post office network, including the opening and closing of post offices, are an operational matter for the Board and management of An Post and one in which I have no statutory function. I will request An Post to issue a reply directly to the Deputy regarding the matter referred to in the Question.
