Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of persons who have been accepted by his Department under the old young farmer scheme and the value of entitlements which have been allocated to them, by county, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. To date my Department have accepted 260 applications under the “Old” Young Farmer category of the 2015 National Reserve. The number of successful applicants per county, and the value of entitlements allocated to them under the 2015 National Reserve is set out in tabular format:
