Deputy Joe Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 173 of 24 April 2016, the status of the case, given correspondence (details supplied) received from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe designation of areas under the Birds and Habitats Directives is a matter in the first instance for the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. My Department has recently received revised datasets from the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, which are currently being reviewed by officials in my Department.
Any updates or revised designations will be incorporated into the GLAS online system in advance of GLAS 3 being launched.
