Deputy Maurice Quinlivan asked the Minister for Health the number of suitably qualified staff that have been part of the initiative undertaken by the HSE to train and upskill to become orthodontic therapists; the details of the pilot scheme and the number of patients who are under treatment; the progress being made to expand this initiative to other regional orthodontic departments; and if he will make a statement to the matter.
