Deputy Robert Troy asked the Minister for Health the procedure and the steps involved in the diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome in a child; if he is satisfied that all of the necessary expertise to diagnose and treat this syndrome is in place in psychological services in County Longford. Accordingly I have arranged for the question to be referred to the Health Service Executive (HSE) for direct reply to the Deputy.
