700. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of the Morris report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21960/16]

Bord na gCon has informed me that the Morris Report was published on Friday 15 July, 2016.

I understand that Bord na gCon has already taken a number of actions on foot of its recommendations, and my Department is examining it at present to inform its deliberations on the Heads of a Bill which I intend to bring to Government in the Autumn.
